Mariana Malváez was born in Mexico City. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (2011), and minor in International Trade Law.

Since her early career years, Mariana worked in several areas including real estate, corporate and regulatory law. In 2014, she began working at Vazquez Tercero y Zepeda, one of Mexico’s leading International Trade and Customs Law firms. Before joining IELPO, Mariana obtained an International Trade Law Diploma from the ICC Mexico and Escuela Libre de Derecho joint programme (2016), as well as an International Trade and Customs Law Diploma (2014).

From her experience advising and representing foreign and local companies in trade issues at Vazquez Tercero, Mariana decided to deepen her knowledge in international trade law and build up her career as an International Economic Lawyer.

Thanks to the support of Fundación Carolina and Conacyt/FUNED Mariana was granted with a full scholarship in order to attend the 2017-2018 IELPO LL.M. Programme.
